Winter's Tale Aside MomentJeff Polunas
00:00 / 00:22

The asides in this production featured the drop of water combined with a water piano to get us in and out of the aside.  While inside the aside, a drone played softly under the actors to heighten their inner monologue for the audience to follow easier.  The darker the emotion the character was feeling, the darker the drone was.

This moment is when Antigonus is on the boat with Perdita, as the storm is building. During the sequence, we see a staging of the "ghost of Hermoine" and then the storm increases before the bear attack that ends his life.  He is devoured in a blackout and that carried the audience into intermission on the shore.

Winter's Tale Hermoine to Jail CellJeff Polunas
00:00 / 00:27

This is the transition as the audience witnesses the jail cell that Hermoine will be placed in.  The choir was used to symbolize the upcoming judgement from the gods and the jail cell was established with a lighting effect on the cell door closure sound.
